Elections

The Town Council is the governing
body of the Town. It sets Town
policies in all areas of Town services.
In turn, the Town Administrator
and other Town staff carry out the
policies the Council adopts.

Council consists of 6 Council
Members and 1 Mayor, each
serving 4-year terms. Town Council
elections are held in April of even-
numbered years. To serve on
Council, one must be a U.S.
citizen, a registered voter, at least
18 years of age, and a resident of
the Town of New Castle for at least
one year.

Council meets in regular session
the first and third Tuesdays of each
month, starting at 7:00 p.m., at
New Castle Town Hall, located at
450 W. Main St.  Meeting agendas
are posted at Town Hall, The New
Castle Post Office, and the public
notice boards in the Castle Valley
Ranch subdivision (Alder Ave and
Wagon Wheel Circle and Kay
Williams Park). The public is
welcome and encouraged to
attend. Minutes of the meetings
are available at Town Hall.
