Things To Do

New Castle has many outdoor activities to offer its residents and out of town guests. The list below is a brief summary of what activities are available.

Baseball, Soccer & Softball – Field at VIX Park
Basketball – Basketball Courts at Hot Shot Park
Disk Golf – New Castle’s popular Disk Golf course is located at Frank Breslin Park, CR 335, south of the river.
Fishing – Kids’ Fishing Ponds in Grand River Park and Alder Park.
Golf - New Castle is home to Lakota Links Golf Course.
Horseshoes – There are Horseshoe Pits in Burning Mountain Park on Main Street and in Sanctuary Park, at the east end of the New Castle Plaza.
Ice Skating - Frank Breslin Park (weather pending)
Mountain Biking - New Castle Trails creates and maintains miles of trails in the New Castle area for both bikers and hikers of all skill levels. 
Pickleball – There are Pickleball Courts at Bear Dance Park located at the intersection of Castle Valley Boulevard and Clubhouse Drive. Please park at the  the Lakota Community Center. 
Skateboarding – Hogback Skate Park is near the west end of Castle Valley Boulevard, open daily until dark.
Tennis Courts – Two Tennis Courts in the new Bear Dance Park located at the intersection of Castle Valley Boulevard and Clubhouse Drive.
Volleyball – There is a Volleyball Court at New Hope Park, at the east end of the New Castle Plaza, and a Volleyball Lawn at the new Bear Dance Park located at the intersection of Castle Valley Boulevard and Clubhouse Drive.
