Who We Are
The Climate & Environment Commission (CEC) is a Town advisory board made up of community members who care deeply about New Castle’s natural environment and long-term sustainability.

Our role is to bring forward practical ideas, programs, and projects that support both the environment and the community.

Business Support & Recognition
We help local businesses take part in building a more sustainable community.

Business Outreach
Partnership with the Chamber and local events to share resources and connect businesses with sustainability programs.
Community Events & Education
We create opportunities for residents to learn, participate, and take action.

Educational Film Events in partnership with the library (topics such as water conservation)

Promotion of programs like Water Wise and Fire Wise at community events

The Climate & Environment Commission meets monthly on the 3rd Thursday at 5:00 PM. Meetings are open to the public.
