Every holiday season, the New Castle Police Department participates in one of our most heartwarming community traditions, Shop with a Cop. This annual event brings local law enforcement officers and kids together for a morning of shopping, smiles, and lasting memories.
Selected children from our area are paired with officers for a special holiday shopping experience. Each child shops for themselves and their loved ones, with a trusted officer by their side to help pick out the perfect gifts. For many of these kids, it's more than just shopping, it’s a chance to feel seen, celebrated, and supported.
This program allows us to connect with youth in a positive and meaningful way while fostering trust between officers and the community we serve. It's also a reminder of the generosity and spirit that defines New Castle.
