The New Castle Municipal Court is located just inside the main entrance to Town Hall, 450 West Main Street, New Castle, Colorado 81647. Adult Court – Is typically held every non-holiday on the second Monday of every month.

Summons – If you have received a Summons to Municipal Court, your appearance in court is mandatory. Failure to appear will result in a warrant being issued for your arrest and could also constitute a separate offense.

Traffic Citations – If you have received a Municipal Penalty Assessment (traffic citation) where a fine may be paid, you have the following options:

  • Pay the fine within 20 days and you may be eligible to receive a point reduction against your Colorado Driver’s License.
  • If you wish to appear in Court do not pay the fine. Instead, appear at the Municipal Court on the date and time indicated on your citation.
  • Your case may be set for trial.
  • Point Reduction Program.

Juvenile Court – Parent(s) are required to appear with the juvenile.
